Exención de visa: Hay una ley vigente con respecto a las visas de turista para ingresar a la República de Panamá; El DECRETO EJECUTIVO # 521 establece que:

Artículo 1: "Cualquier persona de nacionalidad que requiera una visa para ingresar a la República de Panamá, que tenga una Visa o Residencia válida, debidamente emitida por Canadá, los Estados Unidos de América, la Comunidad de Australia, la República de Corea, el Estado de Japón, el Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte, la República de Singapur y cualquiera de los Estados que componen la Unión Europea, pueden ingresar al territorio nacional "

Artículo 2: La visa otorgada por los países mencionados en el artículo anterior debe ser una visa de entrada múltiple, se ha utilizado previamente en el territorio del Estado otorgante y su validez no será inferior a seis (6) meses al momento de la entrada Territorio panameño. . Si cumple con los siguientes requisitos, calificará para el decreto mencionado anteriormente:

o Tiene un pasaporte válido con un mínimo de tres meses de validez.

o Tiene una visa de entrada múltiple con seis (6) meses de validez restante de UNO de los siguientes países: Canadá, Estados Unidos de América, Comunidad de Australia, República de Corea, Estado de Japón, Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte, República de Singapur y cualquiera de los Estados que componen la Unión Europea

o Debe haber utilizado esta visa para ingresar al país. Por ejemplo, si tiene una visa de los Estados Unidos, debe haber ingresado a los Estados Unidos con esa visa para calificar para la exención.

o Los oficiales de migración aceptan la exención de visa del Decreto Ejecutivo # 521, si el titular tiene una tarjeta de residencia permanente válida de los Estados Unidos.

o También debe mostrar prueba de solvencia económica por un mínimo de US $ 500.00 al ingresar. NOTA: Asegúrese de tener un mínimo de tres meses de validez en su pasaporte y un boleto de ida y vuelta.

o You must have used this visa to enter the country. For example, if you have a visa from the United States, you must have entered the United States with that visa in order to qualify for the exemption. 

o Migration Officers are accepting the visa exemption of Executive Decree # 521, if the holder has a valid permanent residence card of the United States.

o You must also show proof of economic solvency for a minimum of US $ 500.00 upon entering. NOTE: Make sure you have a minimum of three months of validity in your passport and a round trip ticket.

The maximum amount of time that you can stay in Panama is six months. If you want to stay longer than five months, you may extend your stay applying for an extension of visa with the Offices of Immigration in Panama.
